Sharing here is a photo of Eid ul-Fitr 'open house' at my husband's office on last 20th October. At the background you can see a few stalls where the foods were prepared for all guests. This is a sample of 'open houses' that we have during the celebration, but on a smaller scale than this. Details on the foods however, will have to be on another blog....
Hello my dear friends! Hope you had a great Halloween yesterday! I know I haven't been blogging for quite sometime already. In actual fact, since my Eid ul-Fitr celebration started. It's not really because I was still in festive mood but I'm having this 'blog block'? Heehee!
A lot of things seem to be happening at the same time and I really didn't get enough time to sit down & write. Please remember, English is not my mother tongue. So to blog I have to really sit down, think of what I wanted to convey, then try to work out my English so that I will write what I really wanna say & make sure there won't be any misunderstanding....
Things that happened... Well, I have described previously a bit of our celebration, so you'd have a rough idea how hectic our schedule is. But when people started going to work & the kids started schooling again, I was thinking that would give me some time to work out my blog.
Then we started having this problem with Y360, had to open new blog at Multiply and I found myself going back & forth between the two blogs, trying to keep up. Between trying to keep up & trying to figure out the new blog, I then knew I have to forego one, if not I'll crash before Yahoo does!
Now in between that, my dear husband aka MacGyver, has been coming home early because his officemates (not him definitely! Always eager to work!!!) were still in festive mood, thus not much work can be done. Now this was my biggest problem. I don't know if any of you have this same problem with your spouse. You're very lucky if you don't! My dear beloved just doesn't like me paying attention on other things when he's around! He would rather I be a potato couch in front of the tv, than having my full attention on the pc!!!
Then I had a long-time friend came all the way from Sarawak, Borneo. She was here with her husband on business. So in between her tight schedules she wanted to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr with my family too because we were very close. So, of course, I have to be the one driving her around; from her hotel in KL, to Seremban to visit my Mum & siblings, back to KL and shopping in betweens! And, yes, I'm still alive & well!!! It was a relieved when I finally sent her to fly back to Sarawak but it was sad too because she's so far away & I don't know when we'll get to meet again.
Then in between that, another old friend of mine started calling pouring her heart out because her marital problems are getting worst i.e. since a year ago. Now, if I were to write on this it'll take a few blogs! So maybe not now. Can you imagine I had to answer her call while I was driving my friend from Sarawak?! (Hmm... I'm beginnning to miss 360 emoticons....?!)
Now that doesn't end there....! Remember my sister Ammy who came down all the way from Amsterdam with hubby & baby Natasha for the Eid ul-Fitr? They are flying off tomorrow, so there are a lot of things that we had to help her get done with, especially shopping for loads & loads of things to bring back!!!
So tomorrow after the kids are back from school, I'll head for Seremban again to meet up everybody at my Mum's, have meal together & off to the airport, about an hour drive from my Mum's place, for their night flight.... Again, a heave of relieve but at the same time tears will definitely flow.... Hmm, I'd better remember to pack some tissues....
So there goes another glimpse of my life....
Take care & Have a wonderful weekend!!!
